Education Required

#. Qualification for Paper I: Class I to V (primary)

#. The candidates who have passed the 12th standard or equivalent exam with at least 50% marks.

#. Candidates with a degree or diploma in elementary education can apply.

#. Qualification for Paper II: Class VI to VIII (upper primary)

#. Those candidates who have a graduation degree and also a B.ed degree, a D.EI.Ed or B.EI.Ed degree from a recognized university can apply. 

There is no age limit for the exam. For Punjab State Teacher Eligibility Test, the candidates who have the required educational qualification can apply at any age. Selection Process of Punjab TET

There are two papers for the primary and upper primary levels. And it is mandatory for the candidates to clear the written exam to get the PSTET exam certificate. The time duration of the paper will be 2 hours and 30 minutes.
