TET consists of two exams: paper one for classes 1st to 5th to determine eligibility for primary teacher training and paper two for courses 1st to 8th. CTET, Central Teacher Eligibility Test, is administered at the national level by CBSE (the Central Board of Secondary Education). What is HP TET?

The HP TET is the Himachal Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test. It is a state-level test administered by the Himachal Pradesh Board of Secondary Education to hire deserving teachers for private and government schools. Eligibility Criteria of HP TET

To apply for the HP TET Examination, candidates must have the mentioned educational credentials and meet the age requirements. The following are some of the most prevalent eligibility conditions for taking the HP TET:

  • Candidates must be at 18 years of age while applying for the HP TET. 
  • The candidates must be Indian citizens. 
  • It will be effective for students who hold a Himachal Pradesh domicile certification. 
  • HP TET is also open to students in their last year of study in a recognized program.

For applicants belonging to the OBC/ SC/ ST categories, there would be an exemption of up to 5% of scores in the previous qualifying examination and the HP TET qualifying marks.

Exam Pattern of HP TET

  • The HP TET Exam will be held in a paper-and-pencil format. 
  • The paper will have 150 objective-type questions. 
  • Candidates will receive a +1 point for each correct answer, and there will be no negative marking for incorrect responses.
  • The exam session will be of 2 hours and 30 minutes.
