APTET is conducted in online mode (Computer-Based Test) to determine the suitability of aspirants for the role of teachers in Municipality, Mandal Parishad, Private Aided Schools, State Government, Zilla Parishad, and Private unaided schools for Grade 1 to 8 in the state of Andhra Pradesh. 

Andhra Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (APTET) occurs in two parts, i.e., Paper I & Paper-II. Aspirants who want to become teachers for classes 1 to 5 will be appearing for Paper I. Aspirants who wish to become teachers for classes 6 to 8 will be appearing for Paper-II. If the candidates want to teach from classes 1 to 8, they must apply for both the papers, i.e., Paper I and Paper II.

1. Leaving Things For The Last Minute

Follow a proper schedule. It is extremely significant for the applicants to schedule the time for preparation. Most of the time, students tend to leave things for the last minute. Do not do that; the last days are only meant for revision. Without a timetable for the preparation, candidates may not efficiently manage their time and cover the entire syllabus. 

2. Getting Confused While Choosing A Good Study Material

There are a lot of good study materials available on the market these days which may sometimes confuse appearing candidates. Always remember that not every good study material will be suitable for you. Choose your study material wisely, one that fulfills your demands.

Choosing a good study material is crucial for aspirants. Therefore, avoid the complicated and extremely expanded materials and pick ones that are latest and simplified.

3. Not Practicing Or Solving Enough Previous Year Question Papers

Not practicing sample papers and previous year’s question papers is the biggest mistake that candidates make. Solving the last year’s question paper is extremely helpful and efficient as it helps candidates give a clear idea of how much time is taken to complete an entire paper within the allotted time limit. 

Also, aspirants will get to know what type of questions will come in the eligibility test. Therefore, candidates should never practice the previous year’s question paper and mock test while preparing for APTET.

4. Steer Away From Official Syllabus and Exam Pattern.

The most important step while preparing is following and understanding the syllabus and the exam pattern very carefully. However, sometimes to excel, students can get distracted and complicate things by not following the syllabus and exam pattern prescribed by the authority for the aspirants. 

The exam pattern enables candidates to understand the exam structure better, and the syllabus helps cover all topics for the exam. Therefore, candidates are strictly advised to stick to the official syllabus and exam pattern.

5. Not Making Your Notes

Instead of following someone else’s notes, every candidate should make their notes. Self-made notes are one of the best study materials any student can have. Every aspirant should always make notes while preparing for the eligibility test. 

Self-made notes can turn out to be quite resourceful as it helps candidates to know the syllabus better. With the help of self-made notes, an applicant can finish the syllabus and manage their time efficiently. These notes were also revised easier before the examination. 

The APTET exam is a state-level eligibility test conducted to test candidates who aspire to become teachers for class 1 to class 8.
