There are various bank exams, namely – IBPS, SBI, RBI etc. The competitive exam in the banking sector is conducted for 2 entry level positions namely – Clerk and Scale Officer. Some of the other prominent bank exams are – IBPS PO, IBPS Clerk, IBPS RRB Clerk, IBPS RRB Officer Scale I, RBI Assistant and SBI PO and SBI PO, etc.

The main sections in the bank exam syllabus are just like all other competitive exams namely – Data Analysis, Reasoning, English Language, General Economy, Banking Awareness, and Computer Aptitude. The Data analysis part consists of number systems, HCF, LCM, Quantity base, ratio, proportion, percentage, mixtures and allegations, profit and loss etc. The reasoning section includes puzzles, syllogisms, seating arrangements, input-output, blood relations etc. Next the English Language section includes reading comprehension, error detection, vocabulary, phrases replacement, word association etc. The awareness section includes – banking and financial awareness and current affairs from the last 4-5 months. The next section on computer aptitude is important as banks are getting digitized, this section includes – internet, memory, keyboard shortcuts and computer abbreviations.
