Kerala Board of Public Examinations

Kerala Board of Public Examinations is a council established in 1965 to promote quality education in the state of Kerala. The board is responsible for maintaining the quality of education in the intermediate and higher secondary schools. Moreover, it also specifies and develops courses of study and matters for students. 

Kerala Board of Public Examinations is the main board for education in Kerala. It is an independent board functioning under the Ministry of Secondary Education, Government of Kerala. The board is also responsible for conducting all exams like HSC, SSC, KTET, TTC, and others. It aims to promote world-class education and performs functions like prescribing syllabus, delivering courses of studies, conducting exams, and providing affiliations to colleges. 

History of the board

Kerala Board of Public Examinations runs on the motto of ‘Reach the Unreached.’ So it focuses on providing equal opportunities to every learner. The board takes care of the holistic development of students. It frequently updates the curriculum so students do not stay behind in competition. The board also aims to reach students in the minority and reserved categories. Moreover, it also focuses on learners with low socio-economic backgrounds. The board imparts formal education to students in classes 1 to 12. 

The board regulates, manages, and controls the education system in Kerala. The board promotes advanced education in the state and aims to bring all students to the same platform. With advanced teaching techniques and use of technology, the board provides improved learning experiences to all learners and also helps teachers in promoting education.
