IIT JAM provides admission to candidates in MSc and other PG courses offered at IITs as well as integrated PhD courses offered by the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. Several National Institutes of Technology as well as Centrally Funded Technical Institutes also known as CFTIs also accept JAM scores for MSc admissions. 

The IIT JAM application process is completely done online. Candidates simply have to visit the official website of the exam and complete the application process, even paying the application fee online. Given below are the eligibility criteria for appearing for the exam:

  • In order to fulfill the IIT JAM eligibility criteria, candidates need to have a bachelor’s degree. Earlier, there used to be a CGPA cutoff, but from IIT JAM 2022 onwards, candidates only have to pass the qualifying degree.
  • Candidates who appeared or will appear for their graduation in the future can also apply.
  • For the admission process, candidates who would pass the IIT JAM exam will be eligible to apply for the admission process.
  • There is also no age limit to appear for this exam.
