Rajasthan Eligibility Examination for Teachers (REET) is an eligibility test conducted by the Board of Secondary Education Rajasthan (BSER). With more than 26 lakh candidates appearing for the REET exam in 2021, there is no doubt about the stiff competition you may face. However, there are tips and tricks with which you can achieve REET qualification. Here, we will discuss some of these tricks along with the REET qualification criteria. Let’s first understand the examination structure and eligibility criteria.

Examination Structure
To achieve REET qualification, you need to pass the written test for two-level with each having multiple subjects of 150 marks in toral,
- Level 1 (Class I to V)
- Level 2 (Class VI to VIII)
Once you pass the written test as per the cut-off marks released every year by BSER, you will have to conduct a personal interview for the final round. Selection post the interview will cement your REET qualification. Here are the cut-off marks as per REET 2020,

Eligibility Criteria For REET
Every aspirant that is participating in the REET exam must meet the minimum eligibility criteria defined by BSER. First is the age criteria that every aspirant needs to meet, which is a minimum of 18 years. However, there is no upper limit as per the current notification.
Further, you will also need education qualifications which are different for levels 1 and 2. These REET qualification criteria are,
Educational Qualification for Level 1 (Class I to V)
- Passed with 50% marks or equivalent in the senior secondary examinations or appearing for final year exams of second-year Diploma in Elementary Education course.
Or
- Passed with 50% marks or equivalent in the senior secondary examinations or appearing for final year exams of four-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
- Passed with 50% marks or equivalent in the senior secondary examinations or appearing for final year exams of second-year Diploma in Education (Special Education
Or
- Graduation in any subject or stream with a Diploma in Elementary Education or appearing for the final year examination of Diploma in Elementary Education
Educational Qualification for REET Aspirants: Classes VI-VIII (Level 2)
- Graduation with two-year Diploma in Elementary Education or appearing for final year exam of Diploma in Elementary Education.
OR
- Graduation with minimum 50% marks with one year BEd or appearing for its exam.
OR
- Graduation with a minimum of 45% marks with one year BEd or appearing for its exam as per the notification issued by NCTE from time to time in this regard.
OR
- Passed with 50% marks or equivalent in the senior secondary examinations or appearing for final year exams of fourth-year B.El.Ed.
OR
- Passed with 50% marks or equivalent in the senior secondary examinations or appearing for final year exams of fourth-year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed.
OR
- Graduation with minimum 50% marks with one year BEd or appearing for its exam (Special Education).
OR
- Graduation with minimum 50% marks with two-year BEd or appearing for final year exam (by whatever name known)

#1. Study the Syllabus
If you are planning your preparation for the REET qualification exam, the first step is to analyze the syllabus and understand the bifurcation of marks. According to the notification for REET exams by BSER, the total marks for a written exam have 150 marks with a detailed bifurcation of subjectwise marks as follows,
Level 1 written test will have 30 MCQs for each subject of 30 marks,
- Child Development & Pedagogy
- Mathematics
- Language I
- Language II
- Environmental Studies
Level 2 written test will have 30 MCQs for each subject of 30 marks,
- Child Development & Pedagogy
- Language – 1 (Hindi, English, Sanskrit, Gujarati, Urdu, Sindhi, Punjabi)
- Language – 2 (Hindi, English, Sanskrit, Gujarati, Urdu, Sindhi, Punjabi)
- Science & Mathematics OR Social Science
Prepare a bifurcation of your study time as per subject weightage and specific topics. Further, you will need to prepare notes as per subject.
#2. Notes Preparation
Next, you will need notes to prepare for REET qualifications. Here it is essential to create different notes for each subject, and if you can further bifurcate them according to the topics, it will help you during the exams. In addition, these notes work as a reference point during the final revision and help you with specific details on teaching aptitude.
#3. Online Videos & Mock Tests
