NTSE Full Form

NTSE full form is the National Talent Search Examination. It is a national-level talent search examination conducted by the NCERT. Students qualifying for this examination are eligible for scholarships. Students of class 10th can participate in this examination which is held in two parts: Stage 1 and Stage 2. 

Stage 1 examination is a state-level exam that is conducted by all Indian states and union territories. If a student clears the stage 1 examination, they are eligible to appear for stage 2 tests. The objective of conducting this examination is to provide support to meritorious candidates in the form of scholarships. Before appearing for the examination, candidates must know the NTSE full form and its eligibility criteria. 

Eligibility criteria for Stage 1 examination

  • The candidate must be a student of class 10th from a recognized government or private school
  • Candidates from any place can appear for the test. There are no domicile restrictions.
  • Students studying in open or distance learning courses are also eligible for the NTSE test. However, they must be aged less than 18 years. 

Eligibility criteria for stage 2 examination

  • Students clearing stage 1 examinations are eligible for stage 2 examinations. NCERT conveys the exam details to students eligible for stage 2. 

Students studying abroad also appear for NTSE examinations. They can check the eligibility criteria of the official website. Stage 1 and 2 examinations are known as SAT and MAT exams. Both of these sections consist of 100 questions each. The exam checks the logical and analytical skills of students.
