KVPY
Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) is an ongoing basic science fellowship program initiated and funded by the Ministry of Science and Technology of the Government of India, attracting highly talented students to  basic science courses and science research careers. The purpose of this program is to discover students with research skills and abilities, help them realize their academic potential, encourage them to pursue research careers in academia, and allow the country to pursue research and development. Every year on Technology Day and the second Sunday of July,  KVPY Fellowship ads will appear in all national newspapers. Students are selected from grades XI to 1 in the Basic Courses in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, which showcase their talents in scientific research. The committee is formed by IISc, reviews applications and conducts proficiency tests at various locations across the country. Students who remain in the final selection of KVPY will be invited to an interview, which is the final stage of the selection process, based on their proficiency test results. Both aptitude tests and  interview results are taken into account when deciding on a scholarship.
