Summery :, , "The Echoing Green". by William Blake is a very, beautiful poem where the poet is welcoming, the spring., The poem has been divided into three stanzas, depicting three stages of our life., In the first stanza merry bells, joyful sounds of, the singing birds and children's playful sounds, give us an image of a beautiful spring morning., In the second stanza 'Old John with white hair', sitting under the oak tree is looking at the, children's play. They remember their own, childhood. Echoing green has referred to the, cycle of life.The children will become old after, few years., In the third stanza the children are getting tired, after the whole day's playing. They want to go, back. to their mother's lap and want to sleep., Unlike the other two stanzas, the third stanza, ends with darkening green. Dark green, symbolizes the end of the day.

But it is echoing green as after sunset again, there will be sunrise. After death again there, will be new life. Thus in the poem the cycle of, life is described in a very simple way.
