Name the various organs connected with this system., Ans- The food we eat can be useful to us only when it is broken down into smaller substances that can be easily absorbed by the body. This process is called digestion. Digestion takes place in the digestive system, which is a long continuous tube that starts at the mouth and ends at the anus. The organs that help in the digestion of food form the digestive system. Our digestive system comprises the mouth, gullet or oesophagus (food pipe), stomach, liver, pancreas, small intestine, large intestine and anus., 2. What is the role of the small intestine in digesting food., Ans -The soup-like food that enters the small intestine is mixed with the digestive juices released by the small intestine, the bile produced by the liver and pancreatic juice produced by the pancreas. It is here that the food is completely digested., F.Ans- Bathing after eating results in decreased body temperature that leads to slow digestion.
