The MS Word screen opens. The parts of an MS Word screen are shown, in Figure 6.2., restore down/maximize, Quick Access toolbar, tabs, title bar, minimize, close, File tab, ribbon, A RR . It displays the name of, the document and program name. It has a Quick Access toolbar on the, left. The Quick Access toolbar has shortcut icons for the most commonly, used commands such as Undo and Save. The title bar also contains the, Minimize, Restore Down/Maximize and Close buttons., • The Minimize button, reduces the screen to an icon on the, taskbar., • The Restore down button O makes the screen smaller than before., When you click on the same button again the screen returns to its, original size., • The Close button, Xx, closes the MS Word screen., 61, MS Word 2010

tabs and groups. Each tab has commands, Ribbon, The ribbon has two parts, arranged in many groups (Fig. 6.3). When you click on a tab, it opens, displaying commands in different groups. Status bar, The status bar is present at the bottom of the screen. On the left end,, It displays the page number and number of words. It helps to, move the document area up or down. You also see a horizontal scroll bar, above the status bar.
