Explanation, (page no -17), Mukesh -- belonged to a family of poor bangle maker of Firozabad. His dream was to become a motor mechanic., What makes the city of Firozabad famous?... Firozabad is famous because of its bangle. Every other other family is engaged in making bangles. It is the centre of India's glass blowing industry. It seems like Firozabad is making bangles for all the women in India., Hazards of working in glass bangle industry…About 20000 children slog their daylight hour in a glass furnaces of Firozabad. They work in in a dark and dingy cells without air and light , with a high temperatures. Their eyes are more adjusted to the dark than the light outside. That was why they often end up losing their eyesight before they become adults.

The stigma of his caste always goes with him. But Mukesh wants to be a motor mechanic. He wants to learn this work at a garage far away from home. He wants to be a motor mechanic.

Saheb family one of them. They all are very poor. Their living condition is very bad. They live ib a structures of mud with a roof of tin and tarpaulin. They live without sewage, drainage or running water . The writer says that Garbage to ragpickers is gold because it is their daily bread, a roof over their heads. They get their needs from the garbage. Rag picking is their only source of income, and means of survival. Rag picking is the solution to make their life tick. Even children growing up in them become partners in rag picking. Thus, we can say that survival in Seemapuri means rag picking.
