The 3Ls of Empowerment, The 3Ls of Empowerment is a speech delivered by Christine Lagarde., Here she discusses the three criteria needed for empowerment of, women. They are Learning, Labor, and Leadership. Christine, Lagarde calls them the 3Ls of women empowerment. True, empowerment of women can happen only if they play a greater, economic role in the modern world., , Learning or education is the first step in women empowerment., Learning helps women to help themselves and come out of exclusion., Learning is the greatest necessity in the developing world. Learning, helps women to acquire skills and participate in the mainstream, process of the society. Learning helps them to break their limitations, and exclusion. An African saying tells us that if you educate a boy,, we train a man and if we educate a girl, we train a village., , The second step of women empowerment is labour or work. Labour, helps women to flourish and achieve their true potential. Labour helps, women to progress in life. It gives them economic freedom and brings, about a change in their outlook., , The third L is leadership. Leadership enables women to rise and, fulfil their abilities and talents. Women are more competent leaders, than men, but sometimes they lack confidence. Hence, they should, change their mindset. They should take risk and they should change, their mindset. They should take risk and come out of their comfort, zone. We should create a world in which all women can meet their, potential without hurdles or prejudice. The 3Ls will help us get there., , Christine Lagarde says that If we make a world where women can, meet their potential, the world will benefit from it. Lagarde ends her
