Digital Fluency /1, Module 1:, Emerging Technologies ( cɔd«iorpa r leat ), Introduction, Digital fluency is very important to lcarn in today's world. This is because in, this digital age everything is digitized, such as trade, cducation, government defense, ctc. So we nced to leam technology in today's age and create technologics globally., Strategies when performing incremental business tasks to turn on new lights that test, digital transformations. How can we maintain this balance between the old and the new,, and what path is right for us to modernize? To be ready to lead our companies in the, future, we need to increase our digital fluency. If we don't, we risk becoming obsolcte, or worse, making critical mistakes that harm real people. We need to be digital fluent, to speak and translate the language of the technologies and technicians that shape our, livelihoods and institutions., Most approaches to 'Going Digital' focus on only one or two elements of, the larger equation of digital fluency. Maybe we start with finding out what tools are, available, or get a briefing on business model trends. Being fluent requires competencies and capabilitics that, go beyond the skill level. Someone who is digitally flucnt not only selects tools and, knows what to do with them, but can explain why they work in the way they do and, how they might adapt what they do if the context were to change., • For example, if you are literatc, you might be able to follow instructions to set up, a sharcd document onlinc and use it for a clear purpose. Digital Proficiency: being able to understand and use of technology, 6/ Emerging Technologies, Why we all need to be digitally fluent?, Crucially, the outcome of being digitally fluent rclatcs to issucs of responsibility, cquity, and access. If we work with fluency in the way we, use technologies, we are able to keep ourselves safc online and take full advantage of, opportunities such as being able to apply for work, manage our finances, or be part of, our local community., Digital Fluency Vs. Digital Literacy, Digital fluency differs from digital literacy. In fact, it is broader than digital literacy., Digital fluency is not just familiarity with the digital world (like digital literacy), it's, about effective and proficient navigation and function in the digital world.
