UPMSP stands for Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad. The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) is a UP government-run educational institution in charge of administering Standard 10 (or secondary school level) and Standard 12 (or inter-college level) examinations for all schools affiliated with it. In Uttar Pradesh, the board is known as the Board of High School and Intermediate Education Uttar Pradesh (BHSIEUP), and it is the largest education board in Asia in terms of overall student enrollment.

To align with the CBSE board, the Secondary Education Council of the Uttar Pradesh board has opted to adopt NCERT books since 2018. The textbooks for all classes and disciplines have been replaced, and the curriculum has been modified. The NCERT Curriculum and materials are now used in practically all of the schools connected with the Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad. Science, Maths, English, Hindi, and Social Science are the five mandatory subjects in the Board of High School and Intermediate Education Uttar Pradesh (BHSIEUP) Class 10 pariksha. Students in the intermediate Class 12 test are assigned courses based on their preferences.
