Entire REET Syllabus – (All 5 Subjects)

The REET exam is held every year by the Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan. The exam evaluates candidates’ eligibility for the position of primary and upper primary teachers in public educational institutions across Rajasthan. Entire REET Syllabus:

The REET exam is held in two levels. You have to clear Level I and Level II to get selected for the respective posts. Level I is held to determine the teachers for class I to class V and Level II for classes VI to VIII. 

To qualify for this exam, you need to be well versed with the pattern and REET syllabus for both levels.

REET Syllabus for Language I (Level-I)

  • Unseen Prose Passage Synonyms, Antonyms, Spellings, Word-formation, One Word Substitution, Parts of Speech, Tenses, Determiners, Change of Degrees.
  • Framing Questions, including Wh-questions, Active and Passive Voice, Knowledge of English Sounds and Phonetic Symbols.
  • Teaching Learning Materials, Methods and Approaches to English Language Teaching 
  • Development of Language Skills, Teaching Learning Materials: Textbooks, Multimedia Materials, and other resources 
  • Comprehensive and Continuous Evaluation, Evaluating Language Proficiency 

REET Syllabus for Language II (Level-I)

  • Unseen Prose Passage Linking Devices, Subject-Verb Concord, Inferences
  • Unseen Poem Identification of Alliteration, Simile, Metaphor Personification, Assonance, Rhyme 
  • Modal Auxiliaries, Phrasal Verbs and Idioms, Literary Terms
  • Basic Knowledge of English Sounds and their Phonetic Transcription
  • Principles of Teaching English, Communicative Approach to English Language Teaching, Challenges of Teaching English
  • Methods of Evaluation, Remedial Teaching
