MSW Full Form 

MSW full form is Master of Social Work. The MSW course is a post-graduate course that focuses on in-depth aspects of social work. It is a two-year program that is usually demarcated into 4 semesters, each semester ending with an exam on the subjects in the same. To study the MSW course, you need to complete your bachelor’s degree in the same field, i.e. BSW. 

A career in social work essentially means a career in helping people in need. An MSW course gives you the opportunity and sufficient knowledge in helping anyone from a large well-established NGO to simple social development in a rural area. It helps you make an educated entry into the realm of social welfare and humanitarian society. 

  • The eligibility criteria to apply for the MSW course are as given below:
  • Completed graduation from a recognized university
  • Passed graduation with an aggregate of minimum 50% 
  • Preferred graduation – BSW (Bachelor of Social Work)
  • Aspirants can also apply if they are from the Humanities & Social Sciences, Science, Management, and Commerce streams
