HTET Topic Wise Analysis

The Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test (HTET) is an exam conducted once every year by the Board of Secondary Education Haryana. This exam is used to judge the eligibility of an individual for a teaching post in Haryana Schools. HTET exam is mainly categorized into three levels – Primary Teacher, Trained Graduate Teacher, and Post Graduate Teacher. Candidates of the age group 18 to 38 can appear for the examination. 

The TET result certificate is valid for seven years from the date of issue. By qualifying for the written test, an individual becomes eligible for the respective teaching post. The exam is conducted in offline mode in English as well as Hindi languages. 

HTET Exam Analysis: Overview 

Each Level has 150 questions that have to be attempted within 150 minutes. The HTET exam is a state-level examination conducted in three levels. There are 

  1. Level I – For Primary Level Teaching (Grade I to V)
  2. Level II – For Trained Graduate Teacher (Grade VI to VIII) 
  3. Level III – For Post Graduate Teacher (Grade IX to XII) 

The exam preparation helps understand the benefits of HTET as it enhances one’s knowledge in a particular area. Each Level has a set of subjects. 

For Level I, the subjects included are 

  • Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning 
  • Child Development and Pedagogy
  • Hindi and English 
  • Mathematics

In Level II, the subjects included are, 

  1. Logical Reasoning, Aptitude, and General Awareness 
  2. Child Development and Pedagogy 
  3. Hindi and English
  4. Social Studies, Science, Mathematics and many more (any one is chosen)

HTET Exam Analysis: Eligibility Criteria 

The HTET Exam consists of three levels, each of which has a different set of criteria to qualify for the same. These criteria are, 

  • Primary Teacher – 12th pass with Diploma in Elementary Education (D El. Ed.)
  • Trained Graduate – Bachelor’s Degree along with B.Ed
  • Post Graduate – Master’s Degree along with B.Ed
