The GRE exam is one of the most famous and most accepted assessment programs for admissions to law or business schools. The GRE is accepted by thousands of universities and colleges worldwide. The full form of GRE is Graduate Record Examination, and the exam is more commonly referred to by its more popular abbreviation the GRE test. One of the most important things to keep in mind when applying for the GRE exam is the GRE exam fee.
Before going into that, let us first look at the two different types of GRE tests – the GRE General Test and the GRE Subject Test. The GRE General Test exam fee is interestingly different in different parts of the world. The GRE exam fee in most parts of the world is 205 USD, which amounts to almost fifteen thousand six hundred and fifteen Indian rupees (exchange rate at 1 USD = 76 INR). However, for India, it is slightly more expensive at 213 dollars, which comes up to sixteen thousand four hundred INR. The cost of the exam only goes up from here. In Nigeria, the GRE exam costs 226 dollars, in Australia 230 dollars, in China 231 dollars, and as much as 255 dollars in Turkey. In contrast, however, the GRE Subject Tests cost 150 dollars all across the world irrespective of the country it is being conducted in.
