She even burned down her own house and sneaked past German soldiers for the sake of her country., Describe what the French patriots were doing to fight the enemy., Ans:French patriots were fighting the Germans even after the government had given in to them. They made conditions difficult for the Germans. They hid in the forests and mountains, fighting and destroying railways and bridges., How did the German soldiers behave when they entered Marie’s cottage?, Ans:The German soldiers shouted at Marie to stay put while they searched her house.They eventually found the lamp she was using to signal the planes, confirming their suspicions.
