Describe Santiago's homecoming., As Santiago steered his boat towards the harbour, with the skeleton of the fish, all its flesh eaten up by, the ravenous sharks, he was tired but not defeated., He sailed and had no thoughts or feelings of any, kind. He kept on steering by fitting the jagged end, of the tiller in the slot of the rudder. He thinks that, his skiff is sound. He knew very well where he was, and how easily he could reach home., He thinks of the wind as his friend and his bed, as well. He finds it difficult to accept defeat.
