The test tries to assign four categories:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Introversion (I) or extraversion (E)<\/li><li>Sensing (S) or intuition (N)<\/li><li>Thinking (T) or feeling (F)&nbsp;<\/li><li>Judging (J) or perceiving (P)<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Most of the research supporting the validity of MBTI has been by the Center for Applications of Psychological Type, which is an organization run by the Myers-Briggs Foundation, and published in their very own journal, the Journal of Psychological Type (JPT).\u00a0 Even though the Myers-Briggs Test resembles some other <a href=\"http:https:\/\/www.teachmint.com\/glossary\/d\/developmental-psychology\/\">psychological theories<\/a>, it has been criticized as pseudoscience and is not widely endorsed by academic researchers in the field of psychology.
