The National Digital Library of India (NDLI) is an undertaking of the the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur (IIT KGP) and the National Mission for Education, Information and Communication Technology (NMEICT) Project, backed by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Govt. of India. It offers a single window platform which provides learning resources that make e-Learning and education<\/a> in general much more accessible to all. It brings all the above mentioned resources to users of all ages, digital repositories from India and across the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The objective of the National Digital Library of India is to collect and compile metadata and offer full text indexes from various national and international digital libraries, as well as other relevant sources. It contains content of almost all Indian languages and even goes as far as to provide interface support for leading vernacular languages (currently Hindi and Bengali). It is currently being arranged to provide all the necessary support for all academic levels, which includes researchers and life-long learners. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The National Digital Library of India also has information on all disciplines, all popular forms of access devices and also provides easy -access information for differently-abled learners. It is being developed as a means of helping students who are preparing for engineering entrance, medical entrance, CLAT, SAT and other such competitive examinations. It enables people to learn and prepare from the best possible practices and resources from all over the world. The NDLI can also help researchers perform inter-linked exploration from several sources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The NDLI also has a mobile application<\/a> which is available on the Google Play Store. The app is free to download and its content can be accessed in three languages – Hindi, English and Bengali.\u00a0<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
