The SATs are conducted for high school students to check their readiness for college. The exam tests students in mathematics, reading, and writing sections. The exam used to be of two types earlier, which were General Test and Subject <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.teachmint.com\/what-is-vak\/\">Test<\/a>. Subject Test has now been discontinued by the SAT Board.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This exam is taken by students who wish to get admitted into universities and colleges abroad. The <a href=\"http:https:\/\/www.teachmint.com\/glossary\/o\/online-exams\/\">exam <\/a>consists of 154 questions and the duration of the exam is three hours. The medium of the exam is English only. A student can appear for the exam after the 12th. If you are applying to universities outside of India, you have to appear for this exam. The exam results are accepted in universities in the UK, the USA, Canada, and Australia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The exam scores are valid for five years.
