On this day, teachers of schools and colleges are given gifts by their students as a token of appreciation and respect. Teacher\u2019s Day(\u0936\u093f\u0915\u094d\u0937\u0915 \u0926\u093f\u0928) has been celebrated in India since 1964 to commemorate the birth anniversary of the second Indian President Mr. S. Radhakrishnan.
