University of Elementary Education, also known as UEE, emphasizes the need for quality education for every individual. The University of Elementary Education focuses on providing quality education and asserts it as a primary goal to be achieved. The founding fathers of the constitution believed the development of the nation primarily relies on the improved education system and that education is accessible to all.
Universalization of elementary education denotes universalization of provision, enrolment, retention, participation, and achievement. Nation-building and the education system go hand in hand.
The Right to Education Act, 2009 is regarded as the most important development. Elementary education is a fundamental right of every child, and it is mandatory for children aged between 6-14 years. This helps to ensure that the literacy rate does not go down. It is important for children to have access to quality education so that the quality of their life can remain decent.
Many government programs have also fostered the elementary education system. These programs are Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan, Education Guarantee Scheme, Alternative and Innovative Education, Shiksha Karmi Project, Janshala Programme, etc. The mission is to provide education to every underprivileged child residing in socio-economically backward areas by increasing enrolment, attendance, and retention.
Along with this, the scheme fosters the right to education for a girl child. These schemes ensure no child, be it rich or poor, remain uneducated.
