Tips to Clear Aptitude Questions-REET

REET- Rajasthan Eligibility Examination for Teachers, also known as RTET- Rajasthan Teacher Eligibility Test, is conducted by the BSER- Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan.

The examination is determined to recruit teachers at two levels, Primary and Upper Primary level. Candidates who clear REET will be eligible to get appointed for the teacher post for classes 1-5 and 6-8 only in Schools and institutes of Rajasthan.

To appear for REET, the candidate should have a BSTC- Basic School Teaching Certificate. Only those candidates with BSTC are allowed for the REET level-1 examination. The minimum age of the candidate to be eligible to appear in the examination is 18 years.

The examination does not have any negative marking. Besides the main subjects, the examination also contains aptitude questions. Aptitude questions-REET are mainly teaching aptitude-related questions. The result will be calculated on 90% of the examination score and 10% of the Senior Secondary Exam score.

How to Prepare for the Aptitude Questions-REET 

Go through the syllabus:

Do not start studying before completely comprehending the syllabus. Please take note of important topics and focus more on them while studying. Study the previous year’s question papers to get a clear idea about the important topics and examination patterns. Plan the study schedule according to the syllabus, and make sure that you don’t forget to include any topic present in the syllabus.

Choose study material:

Do not read a random book for aptitude knowledge. Aptitude questions-REET is not that simple. Choose the materials that provide an authentic take on the syllabus and appropriate information with solved previous year question papers. Random books waste your time by providing information outside of the syllabus, which can be misleading. 

Not only books but YouTube videos also act as study material. But be careful while choosing the videos. Watch the recent videos and verify whether the information is authentic or not. Take advice from candidates who had appeared in and qualified for the REET exam in the previous years.

Practice more and more:

Practice is the key to success in the Aptitude Test of any competitive exam. If you know the nature of questions, you won’t be nervous and will perform better. Continuous practice automatically increases your problem-solving capacity and boosts your confidence; if you practice well, you won’t face any problems answering the Aptitude questions of REET during the actual examination.  

Continuous practice helps you focus on your weaker sections and prevents you from making silly mistakes. Practice the Aptitude questions-REET according to the time limit set in the exam to develop your time management skills.

Stay focused:

In every examination and its preparation, concentration and stamina play a very unique but definitive role. If you lack concentration and focus, you will end up wasting your preparation time. During your preparation, lack of focus weakens your understanding, and during the examination, it will waste your time. Eliminate distractions like using cell phones or social media for better focus.

Revision:

Last but not least is revision. Whatever you have studied, revise it shortly the night before the exam. Give a quick look at the notes you have prepared. This will boost your confidence during the examination and will reduce anxiety.
