Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board (DSSSB) selects candidates only if they fulfill all the various eligibility criteria cited in the official notification.   • According to the latest PGT Exam Eligibility Criteria, the age limit for applicants who belong to the unreserved candidates is from 21 years to 36 years. However, the applicants who fall under the reserved category will be offered age relaxation as per the guidelines laid down by the exam board.

The maximum age limit for the general category candidates fixed by the exam conducting body is 36 years. Moreover, the candidates who fall under any reserved quota will be eligible to receive age relaxations by the board, as explained in the table below:

2. Educational Qualification

The DSSSB releases Postgraduate Teaching vacancies for multiple disciplines, and the educational qualification required is different for the various posts. However, one common requirement for all the disciplines is that all applicants must possess a Master’s in subjects chosen by them. Along with the Master’s degree, they should have a Degree/Diploma in training/Education for all the posts.

3. Domicile

The candidates who are residents of New Delhi and possess the certificate of permanent residency of the state will be eligible to receive all kinds of relaxation as deemed valid for the respective categories. The candidates who are from other states will fall under the General category.

4. Scribe

Though the DSSSB has offered age relaxation to the applicants who fall under the Physically handicapped category, there is no mention of the scribe facility for the individuals who are orthopedically handicapped. This indicates that the Physically challenged candidates may have to write the exam on their own.

5. Number of Attempts

There is no fixed number of attempts. A candidate can keep attempting till they do not clear the exam. Aspirants can avoid appearing multiple times for the exam by having a good preparation strategy.
