TGT is suitable for teaching up to 10th grade, and PGT is suitable for teaching up to 12th grade. The exams are organized by the Central Board Of Secondary Education and are mandatory for both TGT and PGT teachers.

For PGT, Students must have a Post-Graduation Degree in the relevant subject. On the other hand, TGT Students must have a degree in the relevant subject and a B.Ed / BTC or any other training certificate.

  • All applicants must have completed their higher education as this carries 5% of the weight of the marks allocated to the job.
  • M.A. in English / Physics / Hindi / Chemistry / Mathematics / Economics / History / Geography / Commerce / Biology / Physics and other relevant subjects included in the space provided.
  • B.Ed or M.Ed qualifications are mandatory for all candidates currently applying.

Number of Attempts: There is no limit to the number of attempts. Students can appear in the  PGT exams as often as they wish as long as they satisfy the eligibility criteria mentioned above.
