NIFT stands for National Institute of Fashion Technology. NIFT is an autonomous institute that offers several courses in fashion, designing, management, and technology. Its head office is situated in New Delhi, India.
The National Institute of Fashion Technology was established in the year 1986 under the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India. The institute was declared as statutory in 2006 and was empowered to grant its own degree as per the NIFT Act of the Indian Parliament.
