What Is The Eligibility Criteria For HTET 2021?
Candidates who wish to take the HTET 2021 exam and wish to get a Teacher Eligibility Certificate must ensure that they fulfill HTET eligibility criteria or not. Candidates between the ages of 18 and 38 are eligible to apply for the HTET exam. The candidates can give as many attempts as it takes them to clear the exam. Candidates must have relevant education qualifications with 50% passing marks to be eligible for the exam. If a candidate who does not fulfill the eligibility criteria appears in the exam, then his/her candidature will be canceled immediately. Also, he/she will not be allowed to give future examinations. HTET Eligibility Criteria for all the three papers are as follows:
- Level-I (PRT)
- Level-II (TGT)
- Level-III (PGT)
HTET Age Limit: The age limit for HTET is 18-38 years.
Number of Attempts: A candidate can appear for the HTET as many times as they want.
Level 1 Eligibility Criteria (Primary Teacher Class 1st-5th): Contenders who want to apply for the Level 1 Primary Teacher may fulfill one of these criteria.
- Passed 10+2 with 50% Marks and D.El.Ed of 2 years
- Passed 10+2 with 45% Marks and D.El.Ed of 2 years
- 12th with 50% Marks + 4 Years B.El.Ed
- Matric/ 10th Passed in Sanskrit/ Hindi
- Must be a graduate having Diploma in Elementary Education
- Must have completed either high school, graduation, or PG with Hindi.
Level 2 Eligibility Criteria (TGT Class 6th-8th): The Candidates can also have graduate degrees in English, Sanskrit, Punjabi, SST, Science, Hindi, Maths, Urdu, Physical Education, Home Science, Arts, or Music Subject. Candidates need to fulfill one of these criteria.
TGT English
- Must have B.A with an average of 50% marks in Mathematics, and B.Ed of 1 year.
- Must have BA with 45% marks, as well as 50% marks in English, and 1 Year B.Ed.
- Passed Senior Secondary with 50% marks and 4 years BA. Ed
- Qualified in BA with 50% marks in English and 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education
- Qualified in B. A with at least 50% marks, in English, and B.Ed of one year(Special Education)
TGT Hindi
- Qualified in B.A with 45% marks, and 50% marks in Hindi, and B.Ed of a year.
- Passed 10+2 with 50% marks and 4 years B. El. Ed
- Passed 10+2 with 50% marks and 4 years BA. Ed
- Qualified in B.A with 50% marks, and in Hindi, and a year-long B.Ed (Special Education)
- Qualified in BA with 50% marks in Hindi and 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education
- Qualified in B.A with the overall 50% marks, and in Hindi, and 1 Year B.Ed
TGT Mathematics
- Completed B.Sc/ BA with 45% marks, and at least 50% marks in Maths and 1 Year B.Ed.
- Passed Senior Secondary with 50% marks and B.El.Ed / B.Sc.ED of 4 years.
- Passed Senior Secondary with 50% marks and B.A / B.Sc. / B.Com ED or B.A. Ed / B.Sc. Ed / B.Com Ed of 4 years.
- Qualified in B.A / B.Sc. / B.Sc with 50% marks, as well as in Maths and 1-year B.Ed (Special Education)
- Qualified in BA / B.Sc / B.Com with 50% marks in Maths and 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education
- Qualified in B.A / B.Sc. / B.Com with an overall 50% marks, as well as in Maths, and 1 Year B.Ed
TGT Science
- Passed 10+2 with 50% marks and B.El.Ed / B.Sc.ED of 4 years.
- Must have BSc with at least 50% marks and 1 Year B.Ed (Special Education)
- Must have B.Sc and Diploma in Elementary Education of two years.
- Completed BSc with minimum 50% marks and 1 Year B.Ed
- Possess the degree of BSc with a minimum of 45% marks and 1 Year B.Ed.
TGT Social Study
- Passed 10+2 with minimum 50% marks and 4 years B.A / B.Com
- Must have completed B.A / B.Com with minimum 50% marks and B.Ed of a year(Special Education)
- Completed B.A/ B.Com and 2 Years Diploma in Elementary Education
- Passed B.A / B.Com with 50% marks and 1 year B.Ed
- Must have a degree of B.A / B.Com with at least 45% marks and a year-long B.Ed.
TGT Urdu/Sanskrit/ Punjabi
- Passed 10+2 with minimum 50% marks and B. El. Ed of 4 years
- Passed 10+2 with 50% marks and BA. Ed of 4 years.
- Must have a Bachelor’s Degree with 50% marks with a D.El.Ed of 2 Years.
- Should have completed Graduation in Urdu, Punjabi, or Sanskrit with at least 50% Marks and B.Ed.
- Must have a minimum of 45% Marks and 50% Marks in BA Urdu, Punjabi, or Sanskrit and B.Ed.
TGT Physical Education
- Must be a Graduate with B.P.Ed or D.P.Ed or any other equivalent degree.
- Completed 10+2 / B.A. / M.A with Hindi
- Matric with Hindi / Sanskrit
Level 3 Eligibility Criteria (Post Graduate Teacher): Candidates who have completed masters in relevant stream with Matric/ 12th 50% Marks. They need to fulfill these criteria.
- Must have a PG Degree in the chosen subject with at least 50% marks and B.Ed.
- Must have a B.Ed in the opted Stream from any recognized college.
- Matric with Sanskrit/Hindi or Sr. Secondary or Graduation or Post Graduation with Hindi or an opted subject.
