JBT-Junior Basic Training

JBT stands for Junior Basic training. The JBT exam is a diploma-level educational course. JBT is a two-year course that is divided into four semesters. The course is very important for teachers in order to gain proper training in being able to handle children at the elementary level.

JBT admissions are both merit and entrance-exam-based. The entrance exam syllabus varies from college to college, so if you are looking to get admissions in this course, do go through the respective college’s prescribed syllabus.

The entrance tests consist of basic aptitude questions. These questions are based on rudimentary topics and concepts that candidates would already be familiar with.

During the time of admissions, the candidate should be between the age of 17-28 years.

For merit-based admissions, aspirants must have scored a minimum of 45% in their class 12th boards. Individual colleges come up with their own cut-offs for merit-based admissions. JBT CET is the entrance exam that is conducted to recruit candidates for the course as well.

After the completion of the course, an individual is eligible to work at elementary level schools, including nursery level teaching.

Post this, aspirants can also appear for B. Ed, M. Ed, and related courses.
