Action Plan

Action Plan

An action plan is a list of tasks that needs to be completed by you for a simple project or objective. It is a detailed plan outlining actions needed to reach one or more goals. An action plan can also be defined as a sequence of steps that need to be followed or activities that must be performed well, for a strategy to succeed. There are seven steps of action planning. The seven steps are first of all define the problem, collect and analyze the data, clarify and prioritize the problems, write a goal statement for each solution, implement solutions, monitor and evaluate, and restart with a new problem. Teachers can use action plans in various ways. It is particularly helpful in getting better results from students by implementing them properly. Action plans are not necessary for a person. There can be many times when action plans can be implemented on the whole class or a small group of students. Some of the times when action plans can be implemented in a group are when teachers are planning an entirely new curriculum or about to launch a new unit of study, when the class is facing a problem as a whole with challenging behaviors and when students as a group are having a difficult time learning an important skill or concept.
Making an action plan can be simple as long as you have a good understanding of its components. One of the most important things you should keep in mind while making action plans is that it should be reasonable.
